The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, founded in 1908, is committed to promoting chemical engineering in various ways. AIChE student chapters usually focus on providing networking opportunities for chemical engineers in both academia and in industry, and increasing student involvement. The AIChE Regional Student Conference brings together passionate students from more than 20 North American universities.

McGill University AIChE Student Chapter
The McGill Chem-E Car Design Team was founded in 2013 and has continued growing since, almost tripling in size. Through the years, the team has worked towards improving car design and performance, while fostering a congenial learning environment for its members. Their hard work is reflected in their impressive competition achievements and outreach work. McGill Chem-E Car is proud to be the first Canadian host of the AIChE Eckhardt Northeast Regional Student Conference.
